About the program

The Program

RAC Soccer's program begins late April and runs through mid June. U4/U5/U6 play once a week and U8 play twice a week (see Schedule for details). Each soccer night consists of a practice followed by a game, both are run by the volunteer parent coaches. The focus is on learning a love for the game and having fun. Touches on the ball are maximized and we do not keep track of score or records.

Each player receives a jersey, shorts and socks, as well as a team and individual professional photo. Finally to celebrate the end of the season we have a special Saturday game and pizza party followed by medal presentations.

Age Groups

We divide our coed teams into the following age groups:

  • U4 will turn 4 in the registration year
  • U5 will turn 5 in the registration year
  • U6 will turn 6 in the registration year
  • U8 will turn 7 or 8 in the registration year
For example if your girl or boy will turn 6 any time in the calendar year they will be placed on a U6 team.

Calgary West Soccer Club (http://www.calgarywestsoccer.com) has competitive and recreational leagues for age groups U10 - U18.
